On March 3 our clinic sent me home diagnosing me with measles. On the same day, my TM has processed a medical LOA which is for a month for me without me getting any second opinion outside first and even tho I still have leave credits left to be used and would be on VL the following week. The next day, I got a checkup from a specialist on internal medicine and was informed that the kind of measles I had was called "Rubella" and usually disappears on its own in 1or2 weeks. My schedule at work is from Sunday-Thursday by the way. When I informed my TM that the kind I have is the one that heals faster, she said I could go back to work given I can provide a fit to work clearance. On 16th March, when I was supposed to get my fit to work clearance, the enhanced community quarantine has taken effect and my attending physician was not in. Until now I was unable to get it because there is no means of transportation. I was informed that I will not be getting any assistance from the company for the ongoing covid 19 issue because my status is inactive. The company will also not file the form for me for the DOLE financial assistance and now I do not have funds to feed my family. Please advise. Giving them 30 day notice, however, I requested to shorten my turn over days into 15days because of my OB's adviced to take rest from work since lately I find difficulty in the distance of traveling from home to work. I have previously history on the fetal death of my first born son. Eventually, lack of Medical Certificate from my OB, my employer did not approved my request and I am opt to finish my 30 days turnover. I still have a 1 day leave, can I used it on my last day (29 Sept 2017) so I will not have to go to work on that day? I wouldnt dare to file my leave prior the day of my absence coz I know that my employer wont give her approval. From 30 Aug 2017, I have been punctually reporting for work waiting for my replacement to be on board. If you work in a private company, sadly its wid the discretion of your employer if they allow such absences. If you doubt that they will grant you such request, as some will say it is your decision to be absent. This is what you call desperate measure.
